Meet Your Instructor:

Molly Moore
Molly’s relationship with herbs sprouted from her own personal health journey that began in her youth. As she navigated her treatment from the western medical perspective, she sensed her body was seeking another way – through the loving abundance of Mother Earth. Over the years, she was able to find healing and balance with the help of herbs, food, yoga and other therapeutic means, not to mention connection with nature. As a community herbalist, farmer, yoga instructor, and gluten free & vegan chef/baker, she is passionate about facilitating relationships with the land, plants, and all living beings. Her approach is focused on nourishing and healing of mind, body and spirit.
Natural Remedies: In a world where we’re constantly seeking quick fixes, it’s no surprise that we reach for pain killers, or cold and flu medicines without a second thought. And while modern medicines are a powerful tool in tending to ailments, there is great value in understanding that natural remedies that we have access to. The practice of herbalism encourages humans to look beyond the quick fixes, and become attuned to the properties of plants and foods growing all around us. Knowledge about the medicinal properties of plants has been lost generationally; and yet, we might find that working on our health may not always require a trip to the pharmacy!
Green Door classes are immersive and intentionally long. We find that over prolonged time together, students form deeper bonds with each other, the craft, and their instructor for an overall more impactful experience. Even if you are a Traverse City local, the intention is that these classes feel a bit like a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you are visiting from afar, the experience can be even deeper.
