Carve and Print: Block Printed Tea Towels

Spend a relaxed, hands-on morning designing, carving, and printing your own 27” natural cotton tea towel, inspired by the beauty of the surrounding natural landscape. In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of linoleum block carving and hand printing onto fabrics, then bring the design to life on a finished cotton tea towel. This class is perfect for beginners and seasoned makers. All participants will be able to keep their textile block and tube of textile ink for further printing at home.

 

Meet Your Instructor:

Sarah Reed McNamara

Sarah Reed McNamara is a printmaker based in Northern Illinois. She specializes in linoleum block printmaking, textile printing and letterpress.
